InhalationMove victim to fresh air. Apply resuscitation if victim is not breathing - If trained personnel available administer oxygen if breathing is difficult.

IngestionIf swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass of water to be taken slowly. If irritation develops or persists, seek medical attention.

SkinIf skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly. Wash clothing before re-use.

EyeIf in eyes, hold eyes upen, flood with water for at least 15 minutes and see a doctor.

First Aid FacilitiesRecommended: Eye wash. Hand wash basin. Safety shower.

Advice to DoctorProduct contains sodium percarbonate, alkaline salts and surfactants. Vomiting has not been induced because of risk of aspiration into the lungs. Treat symptomatically. Contact Poisons Information Centre.

Other InformationM

 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Suitable Extinguishing MediaWater, or as for other chemicals present.

Hazards from Combustion ProductsDecomposes on heating emitting soot, smoke and decomposition products.

Specific MethodsIn case of small fire/explosion use water. In case of major emergency use PPE: breathing apparatus and protective gloves.

Specific HazardsMild oxidiser. This material is not a combustible or flammable solid. However, under certain conditions this material, if sufficiently distributed in air and a suitable source of ignition is present, may cause a dust explosion.

Precautions in connection with FireM

Unsuitable Extinguishing MediaM

 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Emergency ProceduresM

Spills & DisposalAvoid generating dusts. Wear suitable protective equipment. Ventilate area. If possible wet area down to prevent high dust levels. If available, use dustless methods, such as a HEPA vacuum and filter. Otherwise, use a non-sparking shovel and place into a suitably labeled container for later disposal. Do not dry sweep.

 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Precautions for Safe HandlingM

Conditions for Safe StorageStore in a cool place and out of direct sunlight. Store away from sources of heat or ignition. Store away from oxidizing agents. Keep containers closed, when not using the product. Store in original packages as approved by manufacturer.

Storage RegulationsM

 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

Biological Limit ValuesM

Engineering ControlsConsider local mechanical exhaust/extraction if dust risk exists.

Respiratory ProtectionM

Eye ProtectionM

Hand ProtectionM

Personal Protective EquipmentAvoid contact with the skin and eyes. Avoid breathing the dust. Personal protection to be selected from those recommended below, as appropriate to mode of use, quantity handled and degree of hazard:-
Safety glasses
Gloves, rubber or plastic
The use of a respirator is not normally required, however, if high dust levels are present, then the use of a suitable dust mask or half-face respirator with a P1 filter is recommended. All respirators must comply with AS/NZS 1715 and AS/NZS 1716.
Always maintain a high level of personal hygiene when using cleaning chemicals. That is wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking or using the toilet.
